Mr. Marcus Wayne Smith, age 38, of Joelton, Tennessee passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014 at his residence in Joelton.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 4pmCT, in the Peace Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. Burial will be in the Burkesville Cemetery, N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. The family will receive friends after 2pmCET, on the day of service until the funeral hour.



Mr. Marcus Wayne Smith, 38, Cumberland Co., KY

Mr. Marcus Wayne Smith, age 38, of Joelton, Tennessee was born in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee on Tuesday, May 20, 1975. He was the son of Benny Brown and Brenda York Brown. He died Friday, April 18, 2013, at his home in Joelton, Tennessee, at the age of 38 years, 10 months, and 29 days. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sam and Margaret York; his sister, Jenny Meza; and his nephew, Jonathon Meza. He is survived by the following:
  • His father: Benny Brown of Joelton, Tennessee

  • His mother: Brenda York Brown of Joelton, Tennessee

  • His fiancee: Kathy Foltz of Joelton, Tennessee

  • His children: Jada Paige Smith of Joelton, Tennessee; and Aurora Rose Smith of Joelton, Tennessee

  • His brother and sister-in-law: Brian and Connie Brown of Flintstone, Georgia

  • His niece, Aeris Leighann Brown

  • His nephew: Westley Dominic Brown
