Mr. Charles R. Fawcett, Campbellsville, KY (1932-2014)

Mr. Fawcett was a retired farmer and carpenter. Several of his miniature homes have been showcased in different Fourth of July Parades in Campbellsville. He had professed faith in Christ, and was a member of Palestine Baptist Church.

Mr. Charles Richard Fawcett, 81, of Campbellsville, KY, passed away at the Green Hill Manor Nursing Home in Greensburg, KY, on Saturday, April 12, 2014. He was 81 years of age.

There will be a funeral service for Mr. Fawcett held at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 1pmCT/2pmET. Interment will follow at the Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, from 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET.



Pallbearers for Mr. Fawcett are Chris Cook, Jason Cook, Scott Pickett, Jimmy Bault, Doug Hunt, Danny Hunt, Norman Watson, and Jeff Roach. He was born Tuesday, August 16, 1932. He was the son of the late Robert and Rosa (Wilson) Fawcett. He died April 12, 2014, in Greensburg, Green County, KY, at the age of 81 years, 7 months, and 27 days.

Mr. Fawcett was a retired farmer and carpenter. Several of his miniature homes have been showcased in different Fourth of July Parades in Campbellsville. He had professed faith in Christ, and was a member of Palestine Baptist Church. Mr. Fawcett is survived by: The following:
  • His wife: Margaret Fawcett of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three step-children: Janet Pickett and husband Roger; Lisa Tucker and husband Tony, and Norman Watson and companion Fran Bright, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three sisters: Hazel Cusmo of Ohio; Faye Syler of Elizabethtown, KY; and Barbara Jean Bault of Campbellsville, KY

  • Five step-grandchildren: Scott Pickett of Louisville, Stacey Forbis of Campbellsville, KY; Tiffany Bright of Lebanon, KY; Chris Cook of Campbellsville, KY; and Jason Cook of Lexington

  • Four step-great-grandchildren

  • And a host of extended family and friends
Besides his parents, Robert and Rosa (Wilson) Fawcett, Mr. Charles Fawcett was preceded in death by four siblings: Frances Hunt, Melva Thompson Earl Fawcett, and Bobby Fawcett.
