Top speed would not have broken limit on US 127 between Russell Springs and Jamestown - 45 mpg. Robert Cumming writes: Not for sure, but I would bet either of brothers Ernest or Leon Davis in Russell Springs would have the real story on that milk truck. Those commercial Divco dairy trucks had tiny motors with low gears to haul heavy loads with great fuel economy.
