Donna Jean Frazier, Adair County, KY (1949-2014)

She was a community leader and was very instrumental in several different projects in the community. She an active a member of Second Christian Church, formerly worked at Osh Kosh B'Gosh and had worked in nursing homes in Kentucky and Indiana. She was born in Adair County, Kentucky and was a resident at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the the late Ruben "Buster" & Myrtie Bowe Frazier. She leaves 5 direct living descendants.

Donna Jean Frazier, 65, of Columbia, KY, died Friday, April 4, 2014 at 6:50pmET, at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral service, Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Donnie Walkup delivering the eulogy. Burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 4125 Johnson School Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 6pmCT, Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at the funeral home.



Casket Bearers: Stephen Frazier, Heath Walkup, Derek Frazier, Dujuan Smith, Tyree Smith, Kalen Kimberland.

Honorary: Shaun White, Kerrick Miller, Russ Wheat, Nathan Lasley, D.J. Frazier, and Craig Lasley.

Donna Jean Frazier, Adair County, KY (1949-2014)

She was born Thursday, March 24, 1949, in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Ruben "Buster" & Myrtie Bowe Frazier. She died Friday, April 4, 2014, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 65, 11 days.

She was a member of Second Christian Church, formerly worked at Osh Kosh B'Gosh and had worked in nursing homes in Kentucky and Indiana. She was very instrumental in several different projects in the community. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, L.B. Frazier and three brothers, Ralph Bowe, Billy Bomar & Malcolm Frazier. Survivors include:
  • One son: O'Shaughnessy Frazier of Columbia, KY

  • Two sisters: Brenda Gail Smith (Ben) and Alla Dean Walkup, all of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Joe Bowe of Columbia, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Blane, Toni, D.J. and Isaiah

  • Special cousin: Sylvia White

  • Special friends: Ruth Ann Smith, Phyllis Winfrey-Bell, and Melissa Hughes

  • A host of other relatives and friends
