NWS forecasts thunderstorms, small hail, brief heavy rain

The National Weather Service in Louisville, KY, has issued a warning for the possibility of thunderstorms with hail and brief heavy rainfall today, Wednesday, April 2, 2014, for a wide area, including Adair, Casey< Cumberland, Green, Metcalfe, Russell & Taylor County's in the CM 7-county primary service area:
A WARM FRONT WILL STRENGTHEN AND LIFT NORTH ACROSS KENTUCKY TODAY...REACHING NORTH OF THE OHIO RIVER BY MIDNIGHT. THUNDERSTORMS ARE FORECAST TO DEVELOP IN THE VICINITY OF THIS BOUNDARY LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THE BEST CHANCE FOR STORMS WILL BE ALONG AND NORTH OF THE OHIO RIVER. SOME STORMS MAY CONTAIN SMALL HAIL AS WELL AS BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL.

OVERNIGHT ADDITIONAL STORMS WILL DEVELOP...AGAIN WITH THE FOCUS ALONG THE WARM FRONT...WHICH AT THAT TIME SHOULD BE JUST NORTH OF THE OHIO RIVER. THE STRONGER STORMS WILL BRING GUSTY WINDS...HAIL...FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING...AS WELL AS HEAVY RAINFALL.
