Mr. Otis Clinton Watson, age 69, of Homer Watson Road in Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 2pmCT in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. Burial will be in the Scott Cemetery at Peytonsburg, Kentucky. The family will receive friends after 4pmCT on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 until the funeral hour on Wednesday.



Otis Clinton Watson, 69, Burkesville, KY (1944-2014)


He was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky on Sunday, November 12, 1944. He was the son of Homer and Dellie Kerr Watson. He died Saturday, March 29, 2014, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 69 years, 4 months, and 17 days.

He was a member of Rock Springs Church of Christ and a farmer.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Watson Looney.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Logan Watson of Burkesville, Kentucky, and the following:
  • His sons: Michael (and Nately) Watson of Burkesville, Kentucky; Douglas (and Lesley) Watson of Burkesville, Kentucky

  • His brother: Clayton (and Betty) Watson of Burkesville, Kentucky

  • His sister: Christine Watson Smith of Burkesville, Kentucky

  • Brother-in-law: Jack Looney of Crossville, Tennessee

  • His sisters-in-law: Marcia (and Johnny) Scarlett of Franklin, Kentucky: Lucy (and Glenn) Waldrup of Indianapolis, Indiana; Betty (and Kenny) Brown of Burkesville, Kentucky

  • Grandson: Mason Watson

  • Step-grandson: Jacob Goolsby

  • Several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and great nephews.
