Grace Hatfield, 92, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Casey County Hospital, Liberty, KY.

Funeral services are 12pmCT/1pmET, Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Phillip Smallwood and Bro. Leslie Bently officiating. Ms. Grace will be laid to rest at Fair Cemetery. Visitation is 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Monday, March 31, 2014, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

Born Friday, June 17, 1921 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late John and Estill Redford Lane. She died Saturday, March 29, 2014, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 92 years, 9 months, and 12 days.

Ms. Grace was a resident of the Liberty Care Center and a member of the Highway 49 Holiness Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hatfield, whom she married May 8, 1937; a son, J.C. Hatfield, Sr.; daughter, Nellie Rose Hatfield; 1 grandchild; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Perry and Coy Lane; and 2 sisters, Mertie Sharp and Sylvia Thomas.

Survivors include:
  • A daughter: Virgie Hatfield Cook of Liberty, KY

  • Eight grandchildren

  • Twenty-two great-grandchildren

  • And 14 great-great-grandchildren
