Mrs. Betty Frances Tucker Curry, Green County, KY (1934-2014) She had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Green Hill Baptist Church. She was past Worthy Matron at the Order of the Eastern Star, President of the Veteran of Foreign War Auxiliary, Girl Scout Leader & Cub Scout Leader, and President of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a native Green Countian and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Castle Tucker and Ada Kate Judd Tucker. Her marriage to the Rev. Stanley Thurston Curry endured over 33 years until his death in 1982. She leaves a very large, highly regarded number of living descendants spanning 3 generations. The funeral services for Mrs. Betty Curry will be conducted at 2pmCT, Sunday, March 30, 2014 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Brooks-Pierce Cemetery in Green County. Bro. Daryl Jessie and Bro. Carlos Compton will be officiating. Visitation is requested 3pm-8pmCT, Saturday, March 29, 2014, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Sunday until time of the funeral service. Pallbearers: Jeff Knipp, Cheslee Bloyd, Toby Curry, Christopher Todd, Jeremy Whitlow, Matthew Taylor, Kyle Todd Brent Fulkerson, and Steve Shaw. Honorary pallbearers: Granddaughters and great-grandchildren. She was 80 years and 26 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Green Hill Baptist Church. She was past Worthy Matron at the Order of the Eastern Star, President of the Veteran of Foreign War Auxiliary, Girl Scout Leader & Cub Scout Leader, and President of the American Legion Auxiliary. She united in marriage to Rev. Stanley Thurston Curry on June 19, 1948 who preceded her in death on June 8, 1982. Survivors include the following:
