Mrs. Delois Murrell Free of Louisville, Kentucky, departed this life on Monday, March 24, 2014 in Louisville.

The funeral services for Mrs. Delois Murrell Free will be conducted at 11amCT, Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Greasy Creek Cemetery. Bro. Wilburn Bonta will be officiating. Visitation is requested 3pm-8pmCT, Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Thursday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Brent Keltner, Trent Keltner, Renn Murrell, Courtney Thurman, Erin White, Donald Isenberg, and Steve Stafford.

Mrs. Delois Murrell Free of Louisville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Joshua Garland "Dadie" Murrell and Lucille Nunn Murrell, was born on Monday, April 6, 1942 in Metcalfe County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Monday, March 24, 2014 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY. She was 71 years, 11 months, and 18 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Maple Hill United Methodist Church. She was a hairdresser, former President of the Kentucky Hairdressers Association, and former Vice-President of the National Cosmetology Association. She united in marriage to Anthony Wayne "Tony" Free on January 17, 1970 who preceded her in death on June 1, 1992. Survivors include the following:
  • Her sister: Elois Keltner of Greensburg, KY

  • A brother and sister-in-law: Nelson and Ramona Murrell of Greensburg, KY

  • A brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Donald and Phyllis Isenberg of Glasgow, KY

  • Three nieces and three nephews: Sharon Stafford of Lebanon, KY; Brent Keltner of Ft. Thomas, KY; Trent Keltner of Greensburg, KY; Courtney Thurman of Frankfort, KY; Renn Murrell of Louisville, KY and Erin White of Edmonton, KY

  • Six great-nieces and great-nephews

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
