Kosair Bicycle Safety Rodeo held at ACES Program coordinated by ACES Family Resource Center Click on headline for item with photo(s) Story and Photo by Debbie Cowan Kosair Children's Hospital Bicycle Safety Rodeo program visited Adair Elementary School on Monday-Tuesday, March 10-11, 2014. This fun, educational program is focused on teaching bicycle safety to third, fourth and fifth grade students throughout Kentucky. Students are taught "Rules of the Road" and then ride bikes through a mini course that represents actual cycling situations. While students enjoyed the hands-on activity and riding the bicycles, they learned important safety rules such as always wearing a helmet, how to properly signal a turn and how to follow all road rules. The program was coordinated by ACES Family Resource Center and all 4th grade students had the opportunity to participate. - Debbie Cowan This story was posted on 2014-03-25 09:52:42
