ACES's Future Problem Solving Team - Regional Champs! A-Team, individuals sparkle at event held Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Russell County Elementary School, Russell Springs, KY Click on headline for complete article with photo(s) By Shamarie Claiborne, Media Publicity Coordinator Adair County School District, 1204 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY On Saturday, March 22, 2014, the Adair County Elementary School's Academic Team, coached by Lisa Newell-Hare and Jeana Pike, competed in Regional Governor's Cup Competition at Russell Springs Elementary School. Several students competed in written assessments with the Future Problem Solving Team coming out on top as they were named Future Problem Solving-Elementary KAAC Regional Governor's Cup Champions. Also, placing in regional competition was Elizabeth Cook taking 4th place in Written Composition. With these wins, ACES ended up in 4th place in total team points out of twelve schools competing. Coach Jeana Pike had this to say about the ACES Future Problem Solving Team. "I am so proud of this young, ACES Future Problem Solving Team. It's a privilege and honor to coach this group of 'top-notch' students. They have proven to be true leaders as they were named FPS Elementary KAAC Regional Governor's Cup Champions! Our season ends here for the elementary division. So, hats off to Leslie, Clay, Anna and Elizabeth. Mrs. Newell-Hare and I are very proud of the entire academic team.
