John Walker McCoy part of writer's life since childhood

'It does me good to see him so vibrant at such a prime age and I know of no one who enjoys life any more than John. Gives me hope that I may enjoy life just half as much as John in my later years.' - JOE H. CURTIS

By Joe H Curtis

John Walker has been a part of my life ever since my childhood, which dates back to the late 1940's.

He and my brother were close friends and John Walker was around my family quite often.< Our lives were intertwined ever since then.

His father was a Conservation Officer (Game warden then) and on many occasions during my childhood and early teen years would take me fishing, experiences which I will never forget.

I have always enjoyed fishing ever since, even though I have not done much in the past years.

I worked for Mary Frances and her former husband for a few years and later for John Walker in Cumberland Wholesale for approximately four years.

He and I have shared many good times together over the years.

It does me good to see him so vibrant at such a prime age and I know of no one who enjoys life any more than John. Gives me hope that I may enjoy life just half as much as John in my later years.

May John have a healthy and Blessed 85th Birthday! --Joe H Curtis
