Rodney L. Johnson, 80, of Russell Springs, KY, passed away Monday, March 17th, at Fairoaks Nursing Home, Jamestown, Russell County.

Funeral Services at Wilson Funeral Home, Russell Springs, KY, at 2pmCT, on Thursday, March 20, 2014, with Bro. Robert Conner officiating. Visitation will be after 10amCT, Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E. Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY. Interment at Square Oak Cemetery Russell Springs, KY.



Rodney L. Johnson, Russell Co., KY (1933-2014)

Rodney was born in Russell Springs, Russell County, Kentucky on Thursday, June 8, 1933. He was a son of the late Hazel (Roy) and Osba Johnson. He died Monday, March 17, 2014, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 80 years, 9 months, and 9 days.

He attended Square Oak Separate Baptist Church and was a farmer.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Mary Zimmerman Johnson, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • A daughter: Pamela, wife of Ernest Sizemore, of Russell Springs, KY

  • A son: Rickey, husband of Kim Johnson, of Russell Springs, KY

  • One grandson: Travis Phillippe, Russell Springs, KY

  • Five sisters: Avalene Atwood, Judy Harris, Linda Baird, Bonnie Perkins, and Yvonne Stephens, all of Russell Springs, KY

  • A brother: Garva Johnson, of Russell Springs, KY
