Clifton "Cliff" Holt, of Liberty, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Casey County Hospital. He was 78.

Funeral services are 1pmCT/2pmET Sunday, March 16, 2014 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating. Burial will follow in South Fork Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 10amCT/11amET, until funeral service.


Clifton (Cliff) Holt, Casey Co., KY (1935-2014)


Born Monday, March 18, 1935 in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late Woodrow and Della Lawhorn Holt. He died Thursday, March 13, 2014, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 78 years, 11 months, and and 23 days.

He was a retired auto mechanic.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Jean Evans Holt, whom he married on December 28, 1957, and the following:
  • His daughter: Stephanie (Gari) Maybrier of Lexington, KY

  • Three brothers: Wayne Holt of Russell Springs, KY; Donnie (and Beverly) Holt of Cincinnati, Ohio; and Gary Holt of Cincinnati, Ohio

  • Two sisters: Wanda (and Howard) Estes of Somerset, KY; and Shirley Godbey of Cincinnati, Ohio

  • Five special great nieces and nephews: Meagan, Alyssa, and Matthew Devine and Kendra and Kara Wethington
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Larry Holt.
