Kevin "Howdy" Scott, 60, of Jamestown, died Thursday, March 13, 2014, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral services for Kevin "Howdy" Scott will be at 4pmCT, Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Ronnie Sullivan officiating. Friends may call after 2pmCT, Sunday.

He was born Saturday, July 11, 1953 in Pike County, KY. He was the son of the late Layton & Lurla Bevins Scott. He died Thursday, March 13, 2014, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 60 years, 8 months, and 2 days.

He was an employee of Bruss Manufacturing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Scott, Jr., and a sister, Neva Jo Justice.

Survivors include the following:
  • His fiancee': Teresa Scott, Jamestown, KY

  • His daughter: Bernadette Garner Scott, Russell Springs, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Layton, Elijah, Gabriel

  • Two sisters: Mary Ross, Michigan, and Abby Scott, Liberty, KY
