Maxine Stephens, 92, of Russell Springs, KY, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014, at her residence.

Funeral services at Square Oak Separate Baptist Church, 3979 State Highway Russell Springs, KY, at 11amCT, on Sunday, March 16, 2014, with Bro. Bobby Conner officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, March 15, 2014, 5pm-9pmCT, at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY, and after 9amCT, on Sunday at the church.Interment at Bernard Ridge Cemetery, Russell Springs, KY.

Maxine was born in Russell Springs, Russell County, Kentucky on Monday, July 4, 1921, a daughter of the late Synthia (Fox) and Otha Green Zimmerman. She died Thursday, March 13, 2014, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 92 years, 8 months, and 9 days.

She was a member of Square Oak Separate Baptist Church and a Homemaker.

She is survived by the following:
  • Five daughters: Cynthia Ellen, wife of Stephen Davis, of Russell Springs, KY Lana, wife of Darwin West, of Somerset, KY; Agna, wife of David Duke, of Russell Springs, KY; Charolette, wife of Gary Leis, of Russell Springs, KY; and Sylvia Davis, of Louisville, KY

  • A son: Sovel, husband of Joyce Stephens, of Russell Springs, KY

  • Fourteen grandchildren

  • Nineteen great-grandchildren

  • One great-great grandchild

  • Two sisters: Mary Johnson, of Russell Springs, KY, and Jane DeHart, of Russell Springs, KY
