Kathryn Miller: Sure she won't regret leaving here

Kathryn Miller writes:
Do something we regret? The only regret we have is moving up here in the first place and wasting 10 years of our lives here. There are more dirty politics in this town and backdoor deals here than any other place I've lived. There are some really good people here and I will miss and keep in contact with them. In fact they are very encouraging about us moving somewhere else because they know we are not happy here and some of them would leave if they had the opportunity to do so. But the few good people are outnumbered by the ones who have treated us like dirt since we got here because we are not from here or don't have the correct last name.

I was even turned down for a job that I was more than qualified to do just so they could give it to a family member who had none of the qualifications they were asking for. That's just one of the many examples of nepotism that go on every second of everyday in this town. Also this town seems to be afraid of progress. Everytime someone comes up with an idea to change things to make them better the powers that be say "no no no, we cant do that." This town is going down and my husband, myself and my daughter are getting out before it does. - Kathryn Miller
