Adair Co. School District, others cancel school for Tues. March 4, 2014

Update: Latest added: Campbellsville Independent School District. Add Casey to Marion, Russell and Taylor Counties to the schools already cancelled for Tuesday, March 4, 2014, also. Larry Smith, FM 99.9 The Big Dawg, is already predicting that all area schools will close for tomorrow; we'll post as official, however. "This is the hardest snow we've seen in a long, long time." He said. "It isn't going away for awhile. Driving is very treachorous," he said.
Superintendent Alan W. Reed announced at 11:01amCT, Monday, March 3, 2014, that <>B>there will be no school in the Adair County School District on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. "I've checked enough of the roads to see that there is no way they will be in shape for safe school bus operation in all parts of the county by tomorrow, so I want to give families plenty of time to plan." He said that he still has a big concern about whether classes can be held on Wednesday.

Adair County is the first district heard from for Tuesday. The Go or No Go list is in Events for Tuesday, March 4, 2014. Check it for updates as we receive them at CM and remember that coordinated GO or NO GO news items are heard with Larry Smith on FM 92.7 the WAVE and FM 99.9, the Big Dawg.
