NWS winter storm warning: 3pmCT Sun. to 12 noon CT Mon.

The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued the following Winter Storm warning which includes, but is not limited to, our immediate area of Adair, Casey, Cumberland, Green, Metcalfe, Russell and Taylor Counties.
...Winter storm warning remains in effect from 4 pm est /3 pm cst/ this afternoon (Sunday, March 2, 2014) to 1 pm est /noon cst/ monday... A winter storm warning remains in effect from 4 pm est /3 pm cst/this afternoon to 1 pm est /noon cst/ monday.
  • Main impact:one to three inches of snow and sleet along with four tenths to three quarters of an inch of ice accumulation is expected. Travel will become treacherous at times. Tree damage and power outages are likely.
  • Other impacts: Gusty northerly winds of up to 30 mph tonight and monday may cause blowing snow and worsen tree damage.
  • Precautionary/preparedness actions... Travel will be treacherous with some roads impassable. Have an emergency kit of blankets...Food...Water and flashlights if you must travel. Power outages are likely.
