Nadine Rainwater, Taylor Co., KY (1926-2014)

She was a member of a highly regarded Taylor County, KY family, the daughter of the late Joseh Oliver Newcomb and Elma Ford Newcomb. She was he widow of Robert J. Rainwater. She leaves 23 direct living descendants. She was a retired bookkeeper and secretary, having worked at Fruit of the Loom, Corner Drug Store, Central Kentucky News Journal, Ingersoll-Rand and South Campbellsville Baptist Church. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church.

> Nadine Rainwater, 87, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 12:15amET, Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in Campbellsville.

The funeral service will be at 10amCT/11amET, Friday, February 28, 2014 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Jim Durham. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, W Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation wil be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Thursday, February 27,m 2014, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers: Adam England, Charlie Payne, Aaron Rainwater, Adam Rainwater, Jason Rainwater, and Joey Rainwater.

Nadine Rainwater, Taylor Co., KY (1926-2014)

Nadine Rainwater was the daughter of the late Joseph Oliver Newcomb and Elma "Billie" Ford Newcomb. She was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, Wednesday, November 17, 1926. She died Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 87 years, 3 months, and 9 days.

She was a retired bookkeeper and secretary, having worked at Fruit of the Loom, Corner Drug Store, Central Kentucky News Journal, Ingersoll-Rand and South Campbellsville Baptist Church.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church.

She united in marriage to Robert J. Rainwater, who preceded her in death in February of 1987.

She is survived by the following:
  • One daughter and two sons: Janellen Rainwater and Bobby Lewis Rainwater of Campbellsville, KY; and Jeff Rainwater and wife, Sue of Hardyville, KY

  • Ten grandchildren: Joey Rainwater and wife, Tracy, Adam Rainwater and wife, Tammy, Julie England and husband, Adam, Jason Rainwater and Katlin Rainwater of Campbellsville, KY; Aaron Rainwater and wife, Nicki of Casey County; Charles Payne of Glasgow, KY; Alyssa Sue Rainwater and Justin Rainwater of Hardyville, KY; and Sabrina Carrier of Louisville, KY

  • Ten great-grandchildren

  • One brother: Bill Newcomb and wife, Barbara of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two sisters-in-law: Audrey Newcomb of Campbellsville, KY; and Iva Newcomb of Lebanon, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Linda Helen Rainwater and two brothers: Bobby Joe Newcomb and Grover Lee Newcomb.
