Bobby Lee Stearns, 74, Huber Station Road, Shepherdsville, KY, died Monday, February 24, 2014, at 3:30pmET, at Baptist East Hospital, Louisville, KY.

Funeral services wil be at 1pmCT, Saturday, March 1, 2014, with Bro. Bodie Emerson officiating. Burial will be in Carnes-Ballenger Cemetery, Jamestown, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Friday, February 28, 2014, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY.

He was born Sunday, September 3, 1939, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Lee Stearns and the late Rosa Antle Stearns. He died Monday, February 24, 2014, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 74 years, 5 months, and 21 days.

He worked as a mechanic.

He is survived by the following:
  • A daughter: Debora Downey, White House, TN

  • A son: Robert Stearns, Shepherdsville, KY

  • A daughter: Glenda Benningfield, Louisville, KY

  • A brother: Clifton Stearns, Albany, KY

  • Two Sisters: Anna Mae Reeder, Louisville, KY; and Judy Parrigin, Shepherdsville, KY

  • Five grandchildren

  • Seven great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by wife, Betty Lou Ballenger Stearns; three brothers, Dewey, William T., and Wendell Stearns.

The H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, in charge of arrangements
