March 3-7, 2014 is Read Across Adair Primary Week

Next week March 3-7, 2014 will be Read Across Adair Primary Week at Adair County Primary Center, Sunday, March 2, is the birthday of Theodore Geissel, better known as Dr. Seuss. This is celebrated nationally as Read Across America Day each year. The following week students, faculty and staff at Adair County Primary Center, 158 Col. Casey Drive, Columbia, KY, will celebrate all week long with a different theme each day.

The big event of the week will be Read Across Adair County, which will be held at Adair County Primary Center on Thursday, March 6, from 5pm-7pmCT. This event has been organized by ACPC’s Title I Parent Involvement Coordinator, Sarah Burton, along with three of the school’s first year teachers, Courtney Coomer, Tabitha Giles, and Taylor Smith. The event is open to the community. There will be reading events, activities, food, drink, fun and great door prizes which will include a new iPod Touch and a Samsung Chromebook.
