Robinson, Brittany Smith, and Jessica Turner. the event was staged by Randy Burns and Mark Dunphy Click on headline for complete story with photo(s) By Duane Bonifer Director of Public Relations, Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - A Columbia resident won the 2014 "Lindsey Wilson Idol," held this week at Lindsey Wilson College's V.P. Henry Auditorium. Will Rich was named the winner in the annual three-day singing contest, sponsored by the Lindsey Wilson College Student Government Association. A total of 29 Lindsey Wilson students competed for the cash prizes. Judges eliminated contestants in the first two rounds, held Monday and Tuesday nights. On Thursday night, February 20, 2014 a panel of judges and more than 300 audience members picked their favorite singer from among seven finalists. Rich won $200 for taking first place. Rounding out the top three choices were Allison Stafford of Bradfordsville, KY, who finished in second place, and Jesse McCandless of Elizabethtown, KY, in third place. The other four finalists were: Molly Kirby of Waynesburg, KY; A.J.
