He avoids smokers, but thinks businesses have rights, too

By John McIntine
Personal commentary

I would like to comment on the "Smokers" and "Non Smokers" that are in public places, or private places, this includes restaurants. Please understand that most non smokers don't like to be where smokers are and in my case I am having respiratory problems and can't tolerate smoke.

I want to say that I respect the right to smoke and that is in your home or in your private space or business, not in public pace or where non smokers have to endure the harmful effects of smoke on people with respiratory problems.

I also think it is wrong to decree that all of a county or state is non smoking - I feel it is your right to smoke. I also believe all private businesses have the right to have smoking business, but should be with signage that says this is a "Non smoking" or is a "Smoking" establishment.

The idea of some of the restaurants in the area that have a non smoking area divided by an invisible wall is ridiculous and it is not a non smoking as I defy the owner of the restaurant or business to confine the smoke to the "Smoking" section. To conclude I say to everyone "Smokers can go where non smokers are at but nonsmokers are unable or don't want to be where smokers are." --John McIntine
