Ray Roy Bybee, 78, Edmonton, KY (1935-2014)

He was a native of Adair County, KY, and a resident of Metcalfe County, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Charlie and Julie Hawkins Bypee. He was the widower of JoAnn Burton Bybee, and was a member of the Southside Church of Christ. He attended Ole Homeplace Adult Daycare and was a farmer. He leaves 7 direct living descendants.

Ray Roy Bybee, 78, of Edmonton, formerly of Columbia, died on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 2:40 pmCT, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. KY.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 11amCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Junior Holmes officiating. Burial will be in Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at the funeral Home.



Ray Roy Bybee, 78, Edmonton, KY (1935-2014)


He was born July 27, 1935, in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Charlie & Julie Hawkins Bybee. He died on Monday, February 17, 2014 in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 78 years, 6 months, and 21 days. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Burton Bybee on January 22, 2007; two brothers, Owen & Jim Bybee; and two sisters, Helen Murray & Clara Pike.

He was a member of Southside Church of Christ, attended Ole Homeplace Adult Daycare and was a farmer.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons: Kevin Bybee of Columbia, KY; and Charlie Bybee of Edmonton, KY

  • Two daughters: Jamie Bybee of Edmonton, KY; and Julie Bybee of Glasgow, KY

  • One brother: Billy Bybee of Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Ethel Bybee of Columbia, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Jacob Wilson, Danny Taylor and Austin Dial
