Robert E. (Bob) Story, Russell Co., KY (1935-2014)

Robert E. "Bob" Story, 79, of Russell Springs, KY, died Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs.

Funeral service for Robert E. "Bob" Story will be 10amCT, Monday, February 17, 2014 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Withers and Bro. Jeff Griffin officiating. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Sunday, February 18, 2014. Burial in the Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers: Randy West, Ronnie Kerr, Daniel Hadley, Danny Story, George Caldwell, Mike Selby, and Greg Coe. Special music by Penny Withers.

Robert E. "Bob" Story, Russell Co., KY (1935-2014)

He was born February 8, 1935 in Byrdstown, Pickett County, TN. He was the son of the late Leo & Daisy Clark Story. He died Thursday, February 13, 2014, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 79 years and 5 days.

He was a former maintenance supervisor at Osh Kosh in Columbia, KY, a Veteran of US Army and a member of the Russell Springs First Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Ralph N. Story, Howard Story, and Donovan Story.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Withers Story, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • Two daughters: Delila (Mike) Selby, and Stacy (Greg) Coe, both of Russell Springs, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Danielle White, and Brianne Coe
The family requests memorials be made in the form of contributions to the Parkinson's Foundation. These can be made at the funeral home.
