Enola Grant, 74 years of Adolphus, Kentucky formerly of Columbia, KY passed away Friday, February 14, 2014 at 12:01amCT at her home in Adolphus, KY. Funeral services will be Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with clergy officiating Bro. Stanley Watson. Interment will be in the Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY.The family request visiting after 4:30pmCT on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.



Enola Grant, Adair County, KY (1939-2014)


She was born Friday, July 7, 1939 the daughter of the late Guy and Dorothy Stotts Akin of Adair County, KY. She died Friday, February 14, 2014, in Adophus, Allen County, KY, at the age of 74 years, 7 months, and 7 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Grant on March 20, 1998 and by two sons: Ronald Lynn Grant in 1977 and Charles Randall Grant in 2005.

She is survived by the following:
  • Three sons:Richard Grant of Columbia, KY; Roger Dale Grant of Columbia, KY; and Carlos Ryan "Chopper" Grant of Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Cathy Grant of Adolphus, KY

  • Four brothers: Glen Akin of Fairplay, KY; David Akin of Columbia, KY; Hugh Wyatt "Ricky" Akin of Russell Springs, KY; and Larry Akin of Des Moines, Iowa

  • Seven grandchildren: Curtis Grant, Janice Grant, Jessica Hatcher, Shelby Grant, Cody Grant, Kila Grant, Jacob Grant

  • Eight step grandchildren

  • Four great grandchildren
Mrs. Grant has worked at Osh Kosh for several years and was a homemaker.
