Mr. Willie Jackson "Bub" Crawley, age 77, of the Branham Grove Community in Cumberland County, Kentucky passed away Monday, February 10, 2014 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky.

Funeral services for Mr. Willie Jackson "Bub" Crawley will be held at 2pmCT, on Thursday, February 13, 2014 in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Nyman Claywell and Bro. Bobby Withers officiating. Burial will be in the Modoc Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 10amCT, on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, until the funeral hour on Thursday.

He was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky on Wednesday, September 9, 1936, the son of Willie V. and Sarah Vincent Crawley. He died Monday, February 10, 2014 in Burkesville, Cumberland County, Kentucky, at the age of 77 years, 5 months and 1 day.

He was a professed Christian, was a U.S. Army Veteran and a farmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mabel Cecil Crawley, whom he wed on Friday, October 24, 1958; his sisters, Ermon Scott and Mabel Sells: his brother, Kenneth Crawley; an infant baby brother; his nephew, Randal Sells; and his nieces, Cheryl Crawley and infant girl Scott. He is survived by the following:
  • His daughter and son-in-law: Wilda Ann and Harold Kempton of Burkesville, Kentucky

  • His sisters: Albie Scott of Burkesville, Kentucky; and Anna Marie (and J.D.) Wright of Burkesville, Kentucky

  • His nieces: Randa (and Frank) Wright, Deanna (and Millard) Willis, Jana (and J.R.) Thacker, Lucille Garner, Wanda Wright

  • His great-nephews: Jeremy (and Devona) Wright, Tyler Thacker

  • His great-nieces: Amanda (and Ricky) Fletcher, Melita (and Allen) Schuenaman

  • And special friends: Larry Flowers and Clifford Riddle.
