GO or NO GO: Most schools in session today

By Larry Smith, FM 92.7 the WAVE, FM 99.9 the Big Dawg
Here's a rundown on local schools for this gusty and wet Wednesday, February 5, 2013:
  • GO, on regular schedule - Most school districts in our area are in session today including: Adair, Campbellsville Independent, Russell, and Taylor Counties.
  • GO, but on a one hour delay - Marion County, Metcalfe County - where there's flooding and several roads have been blocked due to high water, according to the Metcalfe County Schools website
  • NO GO - No school today - LaRue County and Casey County.
It looks like a great day today, but do use good uncommon sense today. It's gusty and wet; saw no pooling on KY 55 this morning, but some people out our way have reported hydroplaning hazards this morning. The waters of the mighty Russell Creek were out of their banks on Green Hills road, but none was over the road. - Larry Smith, Operations Manager, Shoreline Communications.
