Russell Co., KY 2014 Candidates: 28 vie for 5 Magistrate seats

Twenty-eight candidates will be vying for the five magisterial seats in Russell County, KY, barring any Independent filing. Independents may file as late as August 12, 2014. They are as follows:
  • First District - Republicans - Rick Popplewell, Terry Wydell, and Johnny Simpson. Democrat - Darryl Smith
  • Second District - Republicans - Ronald Cochran, Patrick Loy, Maark Williams, Gary Lawless, Mark Helm, Tommy York. Democrat - Terry Wade
  • Third District - Republicans - Ronald Johnson, Cecil Roy, Darry Flatt Democrat - Jessie Roy
  • Fourth District - Republicans - Billy Grider, Troy Walters, Steve Richardson, Walter Adamson, Larry McGowan, Bryan Stevens, Paul Wooldridge, Floren Morrison, Barry Wilson, Stephen Burton, and Mike Coomer. Democrat -Paul Foley
  • Fifth District - Republicans -Larry Holt, and Ray Barrett
The primary election in Russell County will take place 6am-6pmCT, Tuesday, May 20, 2014.
