She was a member of Parrish Chapel United Methodist Church, and since moving to town had been attending Highland Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and seamstress for Sutton Shirt Corporation. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Rev. Neil Janes and Rev. R. Tom Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Parrish Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12 noon on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 until the funeral hour on Thursday. Mrs. Christine Margaret Brown Cook, Burkesville, KY (1941-2014) She was born on Monday, September 8, 1941 in the Piney Woods Community of Clinton County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Paul W. and Ruby C. Updyke Brown. She died Monday, January 27, 2014, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 72 years, 4 months, and 19 days. She was a member of Parrish Chapel United Methodist Church, and since moving to town had been attending Highland Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a Homemaker and Seamstress for Sutton Shirt Corporation. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Cook, her son, Edward Cook, her brothers, Garland Brown, Herbert Brown, Gene Brown, Bill Brown, Willard Brown and Keith Brown.
