Geneva Stephens Shearer, 79, of Russell Springs, died Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Jamestown.

Funeral service for Geneva Shearer will be 2pmCT, Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the Parks Ridge Church of God, 187 E Coffey Road, Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Billy Silverman officiating. Burial in the Parks Ridge Cemetery.Visitation will be 11am-2pmCT, Wednesday, January 29, 2014 the Parks Ridge Church of God.

Geneva Shearer, 79, Russell County, KY (1934-2014)

She was born Monday, May 14, 1934 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Urias & Ora C. Stephens. She died Saturday, January 25, 2014, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 79 years, 8 months, and 11 days.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Parks Ridge Church of God.

Survivors include the following:
  • A son: Jeffrey (Marcia) Shearer, Russell Springs, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Eric, Kara, and Tana Shearer

  • Two great grandchildren: Deric and Parker

  • One step grandchild: Jada Roy

  • Two step great grandchildren: Madison Roy, and Maddox Roy

  • Two sisters: Vircena Hadley, Jamestown, KY; and Janice Helm, Russell Springs, KY

  • Five brothers: Teddy (Betty) Stephens, Urias (Laverne) Stephens, Jr., Bobby (Martha) Stephens, Dale Stephens, and John (Glenna) Stephens, all of Russell Springs, KY
