Mrs. Essie Irene Atwell Froggett, Green Co., KY (1933-2014)

She w as native of LaRue County, KY, and a resident of Green County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Alfred Atwell and Flossie Warren Atwell. She was the widow of Joe E. Froggett, her husband of 50 years. She leaves 4 direct living descendants. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liletown United Methodist Church. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, a former teacher's aide at Pierce Elementary School, and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Essie Atwell Froggett, 80, of Greensburg, Kentucky, departed this life on Friday, January 24, 2014 at her home in Greensburg.

Funeral services will be Sunday, January 26, 2014, at 1pmCT, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY. Burial will follow in the Liletown Cemetery in Green County. Visitation will be 4pm-9pmCCT, Saturday, January 25 and after 7amCT, Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Essie Atwell Froggett of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Alfred Atwell and Flossie Warren Atwell, was born on May 16, 1933 in Larue County, Kentucky. She departed this life on Friday, January 24, 2014 at her home in Greensburg. She was 80 years, 8 months, and 8 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liletown United Methodist Church. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, a former teacher's aide at Pierce Elementary School, and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Froggett is survived by her husband of 50 years, Joe E. Froggett having united in marriage on February 2, 1963.

Other survivors include the following:
  • A son and daughter-in-law: Alan and Cathy Froggett of Greensburg, KY

  • A daughter and son-in-law: Shawn and Jody Ford of Greensburg, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Shelby Ford and Mason Froggett both of Greensburg, KY

  • A brother and sister-in-law: Robert and Louetta Atwell of Caverna, KY

  • And a host of relatives and friends
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters: James Atwell, Roy Atwell, Eva Brewer, Laura Peace, and Mae Keefer.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River or the Liletown United Methodist Church.

The Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY in charge of arrangements.
