Mrs. Margaret Yvonne Gaddie, Green Co., KY (1932-2014)

She was a highly regarded member of the community. Mrs. Gaddie had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the 2nd Baptist Church in Greensburg, KY. She was a missionary, in the adult choir and a member of the Greensburg/Green County Civic Club. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Minnie Taylor Calhoun and the widower of Bobby Gaddie. She leaves 32 direct living descendants.

Mrs. Margaret Yvonne Gaddie, 89, Greensburg, KY, departed this life Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the Taylor Regional Hospital, Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral service were held Saturday, January 18, 2014, at the 2nd Baptist Church, Greensburg, KY, with ministers Rev. James Jackson and Rev. James Washington III officiating.Entombment is in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 700 Old US 68 (MAP), Campbellsville, KY. Pallbearers were Sammie Gaddie, Victor Coates, Donovan Taylor, Mario Hughes, Nolan Dunston and Tim Higdon. Honorary pallbearers were great grandchildren and Frankie Calhoun.

Mrs. Margaret Yvonne Gaddie was born March 24, 1932 in Green County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Minnie Taylor Calhoun. She departed this life Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the Taylor Regional Hospital, Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, having attained the age of 81 years, 10 months and 1 day.

Mrs. Gaddie had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the 2nd Baptist Church in Greensburg, KY. She was a missionary, in the adult choir and a member of the Greensburg/Green County Civic Club. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gaddie. She is also preceded in death by one grandson, Michael Gaddie, four sisters and three brothers: Olivia Strain, Mary Frances Mullins, Hattie Hazelwood, Carolyn Yarber, Clifford Dawson, James Willie Calhoun and Frank Calhoun, Jr.

She is survived by the folloiwng:
  • Two daughters: Prentice Spaulding of Woodbridge, Virginia and Franceda Mudd of Greensburg, KY

  • Seven grandchildren: JerRhonda Spaulding, Netausha Gaddie-Coates (Victor), Keisha Spaulding-Higdon (Tim), Christopher Spaulding (Tanisha), Sammy Gaddie (Tasha), Charletta and Chanta Gaddie

  • Twenty great grandchildren

  • Three great-great grandchildren

  • Plus a host of other relatives and friends
