Does Smithsonian still have Montpelier Diamond? Columnist needs information for upcoming Kentucky Living column By Byron Crawford I'm thinking of revisiting the Adair County (Montpelier) Diamond in a Kentucky Living column. If there is anyone in Adair or Russell County who is really into that story, I'd welcome their comments. I have written about it long ago, and have plenty to tell the story, but welcome additional, more compelling information to consider for the upcoming column. I will need to find out if the Smithsonian still has the stone and what its value would be on today's market (if that is possible to ascertain). Take care.
