Anon sends information on Cordia B. Hill and Ralph A Hill Genealogy Anon writes: When the 1940 census (the most current census that's been released) was taken, Ralph and Cordia Hill, aged 53 and 41, respectively, resided in the northern part of Adair County. This census also indicated each was born in Kentucky and each had completed eighth grade; that they had resided in the same house in 1935; and that Ralph was a laborer. This is the only census for which I found a record of them in Adair County. An entry on the findagrave-dot-com site for Cordia B. Hill states she was born 1899, died Jan., 1969; that her remains were interred in Section F, Ryder Cemetery, Marion County, Ky.; and that she "was the wife of Ralph A. Hill." The Kentucky death records index gives her name as Cordie L., residence Marion Co., death place Jefferson County, and the death date as January 6, 1969. The same source reports Ralph A. Hill was born May 22, 1887 and died August, 1968, and that his remains were interred in the same cemetery and section as those of Cordia. The Kentucky death records index states he resided in Marion County and died there on August 9, 1968. --AnonComments re article 64610 QueryLocal History Information on Ralph and Cordie Hill This story was posted on 2014-01-15 13:05:46
