Dorothy Jean Scott age 76 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Friday, January 03, 2014 at Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, KY.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 08, 2014 at 1pmCT/2pmET, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with burial in the Scott Cemetery. The family requests visitation 3pm-9pmCT/4pm-10pmET, on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville.

She was born on Wednesday, September 16, 1937 in Cumberland County, KY. She was the daigjter of the late Birdie Lee Groce and Willie Cleo Jones Groce.She died Friday, January 3, 2014, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 76 years, 3 months, and 17 days. She was a former employee of Balkamp Company.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Scott and three sisters, Marie Spear, Mary Alta Smith, and Betty Ruth Scarlett. Survivors Include:
  • One son: Jack (Tina) Scott of Indianapolis, IN

  • One daughter: Sandra Scott of Brownsburg, IN

  • Three brothers- Joe(Willie Mae)Groce of Indianapolis, IN, David (Janice) Groce of Burkesville, KY, and Lonnie (Deborah) Groce of Burkesville, KY

  • One sister- Beatrice (Bobby) Davidson of Burkesville, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Matthew, Angie, Jeffrey, Chris, Casey, and Sara

  • One great grandchild: Samuel

  • Good griend: Henry Holley

  • Her special pets: Buddy and Missy

  • and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.
