COLUMBIA, KY - Four St. Catharine (KY) players reached double figures, with two recording double-doubles as the Patriots (9-4, 3-1 MSC) defeated Lindsey Wilson 77-56 in a Mid-South Conference game Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Biggers Sports Center.

Tony Horne led the Blue Raiders (10-6, 1-3 MSC) with 15 points and 9-of-9 free throw shooting. Anthony Crenshaw contributed 11 points and Dusan Pantovic pulled down nine rebounds. Horne added a team-high three steals in the loss.

Lindsey Wilson went on a 9-3 run to open the game, but St. Catharine would respond with a 7-1 run of its own as the score was tied at 10-10 with 14:03 on the clock. Both teams would trade the lead before tying the score at 16-16 at the 11:39 mark.

St. Catharine's Dominique Roy knocked down a three-pointer to take back the lead, which the Patriots would hold for the remainder of the half. A 12-4 run, including back-to-back threes from William Tolefree and William Bailey, pushed the St. Catharine lead to 31-20. Daronte' Clark made a field goal and Keshaun Mayfield converted both of his free throws to make it 31-24 with 5:28 remaining, but that would be the closest the Blue Raiders would get. The Patriots closed out the half with a 10-5 run to take a 41-29 lead into the break.

Tolefree had a 21-point, 15-rebound double-double to lead St. Catharine, while Raymon Austin put up a 16-point, 12-rebound effort. Omar Skinner collected 13 points and four steals and Roy came off the bench to score 10.

The Blue Raiders opened the second half with a 9-3 run, making it 44-38 with 16:08 remaining, but Lindsey Wilson could not get any closer. As St. Catharine stepped up its defensive pressure, Lindsey Wilson began committing turnovers and allowing second-chance opportunities. The Patriots would pull away, utilizing an 8-0 run to push the lead to 71-50 with a little more than five minutes left in the game.

Crenshaw would score a field goal and Roderick Clark would draw a foul while adding another bucket, but could not make the free throw for the three-point play. With 3:45 left on the clock, the 17-point 71-54 Patriot lead proved too much to overcome as St. Catharine closed out the game with a 6-2 run.

The Patriots scored 24 points off 22 Blue Raider turnovers and netted 38 points from the paint. St. Catharine's bench also outscored Lindsey Wilson's 20-15.
