Adair County advances to finals of Lindsey Wilson Classic Click on headline for complete Adair County scoring, both games Special to ColumbiaMagazine.com The Adair County scorched the net from the three point line as they cane away with easy wins over Todd County Central 72-43 and Whitefield Academy 59-43. The Indians connected on 20 of 31 three point attempts during the two games yesterday, January 3, 2013. In the opening game for the Indians Zach Hutchison hit four first half treys and Chance Melton added 12 points on two point field goals as the Tribe led 23-11 and 43-17. The Indians led 56-30 after three periods and 72-43 at games end. Melton scored 19 points and pulled down 10 rebounds while Hutchison tossed in 18 points. Rounding out the scoring were Ty Bennett 11, Matt Fudge 7, Corey Melton 4, Jacob Pooler 4, Trevor Willis 2, Marshall Shelley 2, Kyle Burton 2, Cameron Lasley 2, and Noah Polston 1. Fudge led the Indians with 6 assists while Chance Melton had 5. In last nights night cap seniors Ty Bennett and Matt Fudge both connected on 4 of 5 from the trey and tossed in 14 points each. Rounding out the scoring were Zach Hutchison 11, Marshall Shelley 8, Chance Melton 8, Corey Melton 2, and Jacob Pooler 2. Chance Melton pulled down 8 rebounds while Bennett had 4. Fudge had 5 assists while Shelley had 4. The Indians led 14-6, 26-20, 45-33 and 59-43 at each quarter stop. The Indians will host Louisville Holy Cross in the finals of the Lindsey Wilson Classic Saturday evening at 5pmCT at the Adair County High School gym, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY.
