Mr. John H. "Johnnie" Jones, 83, of Louisville, KY, departed this life on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY. The funeral services for Mr. John H. "Johnnie" Jones will be conducted at 10amCT, Friday, January 3, 2014 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, with burial to follow in the Macedonia Cemetery. Bro. Wilburn Bonta will be officiating. Visitation is requested 4pm-8pmCT, Thursday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Friday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Shaun Shofner, Brian Blakeman, Mark Judd, Mark Aschbacher, Tom Wiser, and Ronald Bonta.

John H. (Johnnie) Jones, Green Co., KY (1930-2014)

Mr. John H. "Johnnie" Jones of Louisville, KY the son of the late Charlie Jones and Pauline Rich Jones, was born on January 15, 1930 in Akron, Ohio, and departed this life on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the University of Louisville Hospital. He was 83 years, 11 months, and 16 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a retired machinist for Brown-Williamson, and was a member of the Masonic Plum Lodge F&AM #862.

Mr. Jones united in marriage to Alma Faye Judd Jones on December 19, 1962 who preceded him in death on October 30, 2006.

Survivors include:
  • A step-son: Gary McFelia of Greensburg, KY

  • Two granddaughters: Tina McFelia Blakeman and her husband Brian, and Kim McFelia Shofner and her husband Shaun all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Four great-grandchildren: Abigail Blakeman, Sarah Blakeman, Allison Shofner, and Mason Shofner

  • A sister-in-law: Edith Wiser of Indiana; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Jones was also preceded in death by a brother: Fred Jones.
