Nicols COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team defeated Tennessee Temple 83-60 on Monday night, December 30, 2013, at Biggers Sports Center. Lindsey Wilson was led by a combined effort tonight starting with Daronte' Clark who finished the game with 16 points. Alex Giergen and Kevin Bradshaw had career highs with 13 and 11 points respectively. Keshaun Mayfield had 10 points, seven assists and six rebounds.D'on Hall finished the game with eight points, seven assists and six rebounds. The Blue Raiders fell behind 4-0 early in the first half before a 10-3 run gave Lindsey Wilson a 10-7 lead with 15:53 left in the first half. Alex Giergen hit the first of his three three-point shots in to extend the lead to 21-10 with 12:33 left in the half. Lindsey Wilson continued to pressure Tennessee Temple as they built a 17 point lead on a Mayfield three-point shot with 6:55 left, up 33-16. The Crusaders cut the lead to 11 on a 10-4 run to cut the Blue Raiders lead to 40-27. The Blue Raiders shot 53.1 percent from the field while limiting the Crusaders to 30.8 percent in the first half. Lindsey Wilson started the second half with a 13-6 run capped by a Clark three-point field goal to push the Blue Raiders lead to 53-34 with 13:58 left in the game. The Blue Raiders would not let up as they would push the lead to 28 points after a Clark three-point play, 74-46 with 7:32 left. The Crusaders cut the lead to 18 points at 74-56 with 5:00 left in the game before the Blue Raiders closed out the game with a 9-4 run for their fourth-straight win. Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014 against Campbellsville for Adair County Appreciation Night. All community members with a valid Adair County driver's license receive free admission to the game. Tipoff for the men's game is scheduled to start at 8 p.m CT, following the conclusion of the women's game beginning at 6 p.m. CT at Biggers Sports Center.
