Josh Brockman, Public Affairs Officer Columbia Police Department, Chief Jason Cross Columbia Police Department has made delivery of over 150 gifts including clothes, shoes, and toys this Christmas Eve 2013. CPD Officers met at City Hall at 5pmC loaded down their cars with gifts and began delivery to homes in Adair County. This year we were able to buy for 28 kids up 20 from 2012. We have been very blessed to be able to grow our "Cops For Kids" program to 28 in just 2 years, and hope to continue its growth to meet the needs of our community. All Officers donate their time in the fundraising, shopping, wrapping of gifts, and delivery. We would also like to this opportunity to thank everyone who helped make this possible through participating in our fundraisers or volunteering their time to lend a hand. A special thanks goes out to the staff of City Hall, Commonwealth Attorney Gail Williams and wife Janelle, City of Columbia Councilwoman June Parson and husband Dokie, City of Columbia Councilman Robert Flowers and wife Mikki, and Grissom Martin Funeral Home. Thank You for helping us bring a little joy into the lives of others. From Chief Cross and all the officers at Columbia Police Department MERRY CHRISTMAS! - Ofc.
