Victoria Pike urges students to apply for Flowers scholarship

By Victoria Pike

Scholarship applications are still available at Adair County High School for the 2014 Adair County Democratic Women's Club Bernice Flowers scholarship.

Interested students need to get their packets back by the end of January, so we can send it to compete for two $1,500 scholarships given by the Kentucky Democrat Women's Club.

Please encourage our young people to apply. Our ladies work very hard during the year to raise this money to give to a deserving graduating senior from Adair County High School. Our young people are our future and we must do all we can to help them reach their goals.

Donations toward the scholarship fund can be given to any active member.

Thanks to all those loyal folks who help us with scholarship each year. The Adair County Democrat Women's Club would like to wish all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Vicky, Cynthia, Glenda, and Robin, 2014-15 officers.- Victoria Pike
