More ACHS are College Ready this year

Open Letter from Supt. Alan Reed

I hope each and every one of you will join me in celebrating with Adair County High School's students and faculty in the quest for all 11th and 12th graders to be College or Career Ready (or BOTH).

As of Last Friday, December 13, 2013, we were only one student away from matching last year's total college readiness total!

Two weeks ago the first ever 8th grade class of students began the trek to Adair County High School to begin their career track in Computer Technology. As time goes by we will see this emphasis shift to even lower grade levels.

While CCR is an important part of ACHS accountability, it boils down to what has become even more apparent in today's society---students need to know, when they enter 9th grade, there is purpose to their journey.

Again, hats off to to all stakeholders at ACHS for addressing this one very important piece of school performance and accountability!

Sincerely,

Alan W. Reed, Superintendent
Adair County Schools
