Lina Skaggs, 89, Leech Road, Jamestown, KY, died Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Fair Oaks Nursing home, Jamestown, KY.

The funeral will be at 10amCt, Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at the H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY with Pastor Johnny Dunbar, Pastor Lindsey Cornett, and Pastor Jim Kingrey officiating. Burial will be in Jamestown Cemetery, N Main Street, Jamestown, KY. Visitation will be Monday, December 9, 2013, after 5pmCT.

Lina Skaggs, 89, Russell County, KY (1924-2013)

She was born May 21, 1924, in Armathwaite, Fentress County, TN. She was the daughter of the late Willie A. Chase and Amanda (Ford). She died Saturday, December 7, 2013, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 89 years, 6 months, and 17 days.

She was a homemaker.

She was the widow of the late Cricket Skaggs.

She is survived by the following:
  • Three sons: Ottis, husband of Charlene Skaggs, and Joel, husband of Sheila Skaggs, both of Russell Springs, KY; and Nathan, husband of Shanda Skaggs, Jamestown, KY

  • Three daughters: Betty Smth, Russell Springs, KY; Rosemary, wife of Bill Helm, Jamestown, KY; and Marlene, wife of Johnny Dunbar, Somerset, KY

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Thirteen grandchildren
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Ann Skaggs; three brothers, Perkins hase, Leslie and Roy Haskins; and three sisters, Suar Petrosky, Ruby Hitt, and Reba Sandefur.

H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, in charge of arrangements.
