COLUMBIA, KY - Lindsey Wilson women's basketball faces NAIA Division II Midway (KY) College on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at 2pmCT in Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY.



Lindsey Wilson (8-1, 1-1 MSC) is coming off an 85-49 win over Wilberforce (Ohio) University on Tuesday night. Five Blue Raiders scored double-digits with Jamie Cummings leading the way with 18 points. Chanel Roberts scored 16 points in 12 minutes while Tara Arnold recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

The Blue Raiders are led by Cummings who is averaging 15.7 points per game with 7.3 rebounds per game. Lindsey Wilson has five players averaging double-figures including Cummings. Bre Elder is averaging 14.4, Roberts is averaging 12.9, Cassidy Martin is averaging 11.9 while Kayla Richardson is averaging 11.7 points per game this season.

Cummings ranks fourth in the NAIA Division I in field goal percentage, shooting 62.7 percent from the field while Martin ranks 18th in total three-point field goals made with 21.

Lindsey Wilson is outscoring its opponents by 20.4 points per game - 10th in the NAIA - limiting the opposition to 63.4 points per game. The Blue Raiders are ranked in the top 10 in five statistical categories. They rank second in the NAIA in field goal percentage (48.2), third in free throw percentage (76.7), seventh in total scoring offense with 754 points and ninth in scoring offense per game with 83.79 points per game.

Midway (3-5, 0-1 KIAC) are riding a two game losing streak heading into Biggers Sports Center losing to Berea (Ky.) 76-67 on Tuesday night in Berea. Me'Lisa Martinez leads the Eagles with 15.1 points per game and 26 steals. Miranda Rone averages 13.7 points per game while leading Midway with 7.1 rebounds per game and four blocks on the season.

The Eagles are averaging 64.0 points per game while allowing 79.33 points. Midway ranks second in NAIA Division II in turnover margin (9.778) and 17th in steals per game with 11.79.

The Blue Raiders hold a 19-1 record all-time against Midway with a perfect 9-0 record at Biggers Sports Center. - Jay R. Nicols
