Lewis (Bud) Wright, Casey County, KY (1929-2013)

He was a native of Marion County, KY, and a resident of Casey County at the time of his death. His wife of 61 years, Ada Harrison Wright, survives. He leaves 4 direct living descendants. Bud, as he was known by most, was retired from General Motors. He was a member of Gum Lick Christian Church, a Kentucky Colonel, and a US Army Korean War Veteran.

Lewis "Bud" Wright, of Casey County, passed away on Friday, December 06, 2013, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. He was 84.

Funeral services will be held at 12pmCT/1pmET, Sunday, December 8, 2013, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Steve Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Gum Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Saturday, December 7, 2013, at the funeral home.



Lewis (Bud) Wright, Casey County, KY (1929-2013)


Born Monday, May 6, 1929, in Marion Co., KY, he was a son of the late Willis and Eva Gilmore Wright. He died Friday, December 6, 2013, in Danville, Boyle County, KY, at the age of 84 years, 7 months.

Bud, as he was known by most, was retired from General Motors. He was a member of Gum Lick Christian Church, a Kentucky Colonel, and a US Army Korean War Veteran. Survivors include his wife, Ada Harrison Wright, whom he wed in April 1952, and the following:
  • A son, Tony (Brenda) Wright of Campbellsville, KY

  • Grandson: Andy Wright of Campbellsville, KY

  • Granddaughter: Nikki (Morris) Farris of Liberty, KY

  • Great-grandson: Kaden Farris of Liberty, KY

  • And brother: Chester Allen Wright of Lebanon, KY
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Robert Earl Wright and Willis Wright, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY.
