Kody Pelly, 23, Columbia, KY (1990-2013)

He was a beloved citizen of Adair County, KY, who made friends with all he met. He will be deeply missed. He was a member of a highly regarded East Adair County family, the son of Bobby Joe and Kim Green Pelly, who survive. Kody was a member of the Freedom Separate Baptist Church.

Kody Pelly, age 23 of Columbia, KY passed away suddenly Friday, December 6, 2013 at 2:50amCT, at the Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room in Columbia, KY

The funeral service will be Sunday, December 8, 2013 at 2pmCT, at the Freedom Separate Baptist Church, 576 Freedom Church Road, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Ronnie Campbell & Bro. Carlie Riggs the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Freedom Church Cemetery. The family request visiting after 3pmCT, Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Visiting Sunday will be 7amCT-12:30pmCT at the funeral home, and after 1pmCT, Sunday at Freedom Separate Baptist until funeral time.

He was born Thursday, July 5, 1990. He was the son of Bobby Joe and Kim Green Pelly of Columbia, KY, who survive. He died passed away suddenly Friday, December 6, 2013 at the Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room in Columbia, Adair County, KY at the age of 23 years, 5 months, and 1 day.

Besides his parents Bobby Joe and Kim Green Pelly of Columbia, KY, he is survived by the following:
  • Paternal grandparents: James Clyde & Mary Louise Pelly of Columbia, KY

  • Maternal grandparents: Paul Green Jr. of Columbia, KY and Beatrice Taylor of Columbia, KY

  • Maternal great grandmother: Ruby Coomer of Milltown, Indiana

  • Several uncles, aunts and cousins and by a host of friends
