Billie Ruth Wilson, Hustonville, KY (1955-2013)

She was a former Pre-school and Headstart Teacher for the Lincoln County Board of Education and former employee of Hobart Corporation. Ms. Wilson was a member of the South Fork Separate Baptist Church in Casey County, KY. She was the widow of Willard Raymond Wilson. She leaves 6 direct living descendants.

Billie Ruth Wilson, of Hustonville, KY, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Hospital. She was 57.

Funeral services are 12pmCT/1pmET, Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the South Fork Separate Baptist Church with Bro. Troy Coffey and Bro. Danny Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the South Fork Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 8:30amCT/9:30amET-12pmCT/1pmET, at the church.



Pallbearers are Phillip Passmore, Scott Wilson, Terry Phelps, Roger Wilson, Donald Wilson, Chris Evans, Kyle Evans, Jacob Tarter, and Cory Wilson.

Billie Ruth Wilson, Hustonville, KY (1955-2013)


Born December 6, 1955 in Boyle County, KY, she was the daughter of Ila Emerson Tarter and the late Bernal Lewis Tarter. She died Thursday, December 5, 2013, in Danville, Boyle County, KY, at the age of 57 years, 11 months, 29 days.

She was a former Pre-school and Headstart Teacher for the Lincoln County Board of Education and former employee of Hobart Corporation. Ms. Wilson was a member of the South Fork Separate Baptist Church.

On July 6, 1974, Billie married her high school sweetheart, Willard Raymond Wilson, and from this union was born two sons. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willard Raymond Wilson, who passed away March 4, 1993; her father, Bernal Lewis Tarter; and sister, Martha Wilson.

Survivors include her mother, Ila Tarter of Liberty, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Aaron Ray (and Tara) Wilson of Hustonville, KY; and Vance Wilson (and friend, Heather Madden) of McKinney, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Carson, Conner, Sophia, and Brayden Wilson

  • Brother: John (and Nicki) Tarter of Liberty, KY

  • A sister, Mary (and Jimmie) Evans of Hustonville, KY

  • Brother-in-law: Leonard Wilson of Hamersville, Ohio

  • And special friends: Danny Bailey of Columbia, KY; and Carol Simpson of Danville, KY
In lieu of flowers, donation should be given to the South Fork Separate Baptist Church.
