ORANGE BEACH, AL- Natasha Gensetter beat two defenders on the left side of the box and chipped a shot over keeper Jazmin Alvarez for what would be the decisive goal as top-seeded Lindsey Wilson earned a 2-0 decision over No.8 seed Concordia (CA) on Wednesday, December 4, 2013.

The Blue Raiders (21-3, 8-1) possessed the ball for most of the opening half, holding Concordia to only one shot before the break. Concordia entered the game with one of the top defenses in the country, but Lindsey Wilson was able to press its attack and force multiple turnovers around midfield.

Gensetter would score in the 24th minute, and Lindsey Wilson would take the one-goal lead into half time.

Concordia (18-1-3), making its second appearance at the National Tournament, picked up its only loss on the season. Alvarez totaled three saves in the net while Megan Daniels had the lone shot on goal for the Eagles.

Renee Hurd had a great opportunity early in the second half as she drove up the right side of the pitch. Her shot came across the goal towards the far left post, but Alvarez was able to get a hand on the shot to knock it out of play and concede a corner.

The Blue Raiders capitalized off a free kick just outside of the box as Ayaki Shinada's laced a low shot in the 77th minute. The ball edged past the Concordia wall of defenders to find the far left post, putting Lindsey up 2-0.

Feeling a sense of urgency, the Eagles picked up their attack late in the half. Concordia had several opportunities to get on the board, but a shot by Miranda Canales hit the crossbar and a shot by Daniels was too high.

Blue Raider goalkeeper Johanna Henrikson picked up a save to go along with her shutout.

Lindsey Wilson held the advantage in corner kicks 5-2 and outshot Concordia 13-7.
